At My Sleep Travel we have witnessed how the 21st century has been defined as an “era of customization.” We have customized our cars, our homes, and our beauty products to fit our needs, preferences, and personal taste. Most recently, we have also witnessed how the mattress industry has rapidly evolved to promote health and well-being by customizing our sleep to our health and personal needs. From memory foam mattresses to those that combine a variety of materials and firmness levels, the customization of our sleep experience at home is here to stay.

The hospitality industry has also evolved in the last decade. Many hotels have a variety of rooms to choose from with different views, room sizes, or amenities. Even within the same hotel travelers have the option of choosing rooms that are bigger or more luxurious. Everything has been customized here as well, but what about your sleep?  The quality of your sleep during a hotel stay determines whether your stay is enjoyable. Sleep quality, however, is one of the most subjective human experiences. Its subjective nature makes generic hotel reviews about sleep comfort levels obsolete. In fact, My Sleep Travel is not a host of reviews to browse and search for. My Sleep Travel is data that allows you to go places without feeling that you ever left home.

Lack of deep, restorative sleep is associated with an increased risk for chronic health conditions, including depression, chronic pain, and even heart disease or cancer. Interestingly, many of the conditions associated with poor sleep quality are more common among women than men. At My Sleep Travel we make it a priority to improve the health of women and girls by customizing their sleep experience when they travel.
